1989 Citroen 2CV
£7,950
Location: Petworth
Similar to its German Cousin the Volkswagen Beetle, the Citroen 2CV was created in the 1930s to make motorcars affordable to regular people. Going into large scale production in the late 1940s, it featured an air cooled boxer engine at the same end as the drive axle which negated the need for a lengthy drive shaft often associated with other cars at this time. A very familiar and recognisable vehicle these days, it's one of the few cars in production that remained as a single generation for over 40 years.
This Citroen 2CV was first registered on the 25th March 1989 in Newcastle Upon Tyne and more recently has spent a number of years in Kent.
The engine on the 2CV is in good order, it starts and runs very well and recently benefits from a full service, new exhaust and tune up.
The drivetrain is in perfect condition, there are no nasty noises, it drives well and is possibly one of the best 2CVs we have driven.
The body and chassis are corrosion free, and has recently been restored with all work being carried out to a a high standard. During the refurbishment new interior, added sound deadening as well as a new roof have been fitted. The paintwork polishes up nicely, it is not immaculate but very clean and tidy.
The car comes with an MOT until April 2027, some history as well as a current V5.
