1976 MG B Roadster
Sold
Location: Cranleigh
Replacing the MGA in 1962, production of the MGB continued until 1980. Sales for the MGB, MGC and MGB GT V8 totalled over 500,000 cars.
This MG B was first registered in Edinburgh on the 2nd November 1976, and in more recent times it has spent a number of years in Essex.
The engine runs very sweet, it sounds great and doesn't miss a beat. It has good oil pressure, all fluids are in the correct places and there is no frost damage.
The drivetrain is very quiet, the overdrive works perfectly. The car handles well and has new tyres fitted all round.
There is no corrosion to the underside and is not covered in thick underseal covering any sins. The MG received a full bare metal respray a few years ago and there is photos of this is the history file, the paintwork is of a high standard and although now not immaculate it is still very nice.
The interior was also retrimmed during the restoration, the seats are in lovely order as well as the carpets.
The hood has also been replaced with the desirable mohair type, which is water tight and also comes complete with a tonneau cover and hood bag.
We have a history file including pictures of the restoration, as well as the current V5.
