1976 MG B GT

Sold

Location: Cranleigh

The fixed-roof MGB GT was introduced in October 1965 and production continued until 1980. It sported a ground-breaking greenhouse designed by Pininfarina and launched the sporty "hatchback" style.

This MG B GT was first registered on the 17th May 1976 in Reading, before spending some time in Surrey.

The car starts and runs very nicely, it has good oil pressure and sounds great. It has just had a service as well as a new 12V battery. All fluids are in the correct places and there is no frost damage.

The drivetrain is in great order, there are no nasty noises, the gears are direct and the clutch smooth. It is fitted with new tyres all round, drives very nicely and handles well.

Although not immaculate the MG is very tidy, the paint work polishes up nicely and shines well. There is no corrosion or evidence of any welding to the underside, it is not covered in thick underseal and has recently had Lanoguard applied.

The interior is original, and again clean and tidy, it is also fitted with an aftermarket sunroof.

We have the V5 present as well as some history. The car is TAX and MOT exempt however comes with a valid MOT until the 9th May 2026.
