1975 MG B GT
Sold
Location: Cranleigh
Replacing the MGA in 1962, production of the MGB continued until 1980. Sales for the MGB, MGC and MGB GT V8 totalled over 500,000 cars.
This MG B was first registered in Swindon on the 21st August 1975. More recently it has spent the last 19 years with the previous owner in Blackpool.
The engine starts and runs well, it has good oil pressure and all fluids are in the correct places.
The drivetrain is in good order, there are no nasty noises and the overdrive is working correctly.
The body is very solid, it has had some repair work to the underside previously but it is not covered in thick underseal hiding any sins. The paintwork is far from immaculate but it does present and polish up well.
The interior looks like the seats have been retrimmed and there are no rips or tears.
The MG would benefit from a hand's on owner who likes tinker time, it is very much a running and driving car, with room for improvement. It would be unfair to call it a project but a couple of weekends TLC would go a long way.
