Location: Cranleigh
The Morris Minor is the original British economy family car that made it's debut at the Earls Court Motor Show, London, in October 1948. Designed under the leadership of Alec Issigonis, more than 1.6 million were manufactured between 1948 and 1972 across three series: the Series MM (1948 to 1953), the Series II (1952 to 1956), and the 1000 series (1956 to 1972).
This little Morris Minor 1000 was originally Supplied by Joshua White in Northern Ireland and has only 3 previous owners from new.
We have it’s original first service invoice at 660 miles with the paperwork stating the original owner.
The car is very original on the outside - it’s very presentable, as seen in the pictures, but far from a concours vehicle and could benefit from some tidying up in the future.
The underside is in very good order and extremely solid however, as you would expect, it has had the odd patch of welding, although this has been carried out to a high standard. More recently it has had a fair amount of work, electronic ignition, new rear springs, fuel pump to name a few.
The engine was rebuilt within the last couple of years and the head has been converted to run on unleaded fuel which is always a bonus. The car drives very well - we drove it back 20 miles from the previous owners house without a hiccup.
Finally, the interior is in good order, the seats are near perfect and the carpet has been replaced.
There is a small amount of history and the V5 is present.
