1971 Ginetta G15
Sold
Location: Cranleigh
The Ginetta G15, a two-seater, rear-engine sports car designed by Ivor Walklett, was built by Ginetta Cars Limited in Witham, Essex between 1968 and 1974. They are quite a rare car with only around 800 produced. This 1971 Ginetta is a great example and a real head turner, having undergone a full restoration in recent years it is as good underneath as it is on top.
The car drives well - gear change is good and brakes work as they should. It also benefits from some new parts including tyres all round, SPAX rear shocks and a regulator box. The speedo will need some attention as it doesn't currently work. The engine, with twin carburettors and electric water pump, is in good order and runs well.
The Monaco red paintwork is in very nice condition - although it is not immaculate with the odd mark around the car it is as good as it looks in the pictures. The interior is in good order with no rips or tears, however it's worth noting that the head lining is sagging in areas.
The car hasn’t been used properly recently and it would definitely benefit from a good shake down after being stood over winter.
Comes complete with a lot of paperwork and history including the current V5 and workshop manual.
