1970 Morris Minor Traveller

Sold

Location: Balls Cross

The Morris Minor is an economy car produced by Morris Motors between 1948 and 1971. It made its debut at the Earls Court Motor Show, London, in October 1948. More than 1.6 million were manufactured in three series: the Series MM, the Series II, and the 1000 series.

This Morris Minor was first registered in Liverpool in 1970 before spending a number of years in Italy where in more recent times has made its way back to the UK.

The engine is very sweet and runs like a sewing machine, it goes well and sounds just how a Morris Minor should. The engine bay and underside has just been treated with Lanoguard, hence the discolouration under the bonnet.

The Morris drives fantastically, the gears are direct and the clutch smooth. It handles well and has new tyres fitted all round.

The bodywork is in good shape, as with most Minors of this age it has had some pervious work but it has been carried out to a high standard, it's not a patch work quilt and is not covered in thick underseal hiding anything. The woodwork is in good order, it has been looked after and very solid and possibly original.

The paintwork is far from immaculate and has various blemishes, it has plenty of charm and character and if your looking for a show winner it's likely not for you but this is a car you can use, enjoy and improve if you wished to.

The interior is nice, it has been retrimmed at some point including new carpets and the headlining is in good condition.

We have a large history file including the current V5. The Morris is TAX and MOT exempt however does have 12 months MOT.
