1969 MG B Roadster
Sold
Location: Cranleigh
Replacing the MGA in 1962, production of the MGB continued until 1980. Sales for the MGB, MGC and MGB GT V8 totalled over 500,000 cars.
This MG B roadster was first registered on the 11th April 1969 in Luton, before spending a number of recent years in Surrey.
It starts and runs very well, it has great oil pressure and looking at the engine it looks to have a reconditioned unit fitted.
The drivetrain is very good, there are no nasty noises and has just been fitted with new brake and clutch hydraulics all round. It has new tyres fitted all round and also the unusual feature of electric power steering.
The car was highly restored roughly 10 years ago, there is no corrosion to the underside and it was likely a concours job at the time. The car was then unfortunately stored under a cover, and although the paint work is stunning it has suffered and now has a number of blisters on near enough every panel.
The interior is beautiful, it was retrimmed throughout at the time of the restoration and is just as good as the day it was fitted, the hood was also replaced and no exception.
We have a large photographic history file of work that was carried out, including the current V5. The MG is TAX and MOT exempt but does have a current V5 until August 2026.
