The Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow is a full-size luxury car produced by British automaker Rolls-Royce in various forms from 1965 to 1980. It was originally intended to be called Rolls-Royce Silver Mist, but was replaced with Silver Shadow at the last minute due to Mist meaning "manure" in German. It was designed with several modernisations in response to concerns that the company was falling behind in automotive innovation and was the first of the marque to use unitary body and chassis construction.
This car has been part of our own personal collection for the last 12 years. Originally owned by the King of Bhutan, it has unusual radiator fittings for ceremonial flags.
It starts and runs very well due to some recent recommissioning. It has had a new battery, new distributor cap, new HT leads and spark plugs. Having only covered 45k miles from new the drivetrain is very nice. The 4 new tyres means it handles great and the brakes are spot on due to recently fitted new brake hoses all round and a full fluid change.
The paint work is immaculate! There is no corrosion at all, the underside is not covered in thick under seal and as far as we can see it has never been welded. The interior is no different - it’s very original and in stunning condition.
The car comes complete with history and paperwork including the current V5.
Tax and MOT exempt as well as ULEZ compliant.
