1961 Wolseley 1500

The Wolseley 1500s were produced by Riley and Wolseley from 1957 until 1965. They utilised the familiar Morris Minor floor plan, suspension and steering but were fitted with the larger 1,489 cc B-Series engine and MG Magnette gearbox.

This lovely little car is in very nice order and ready to enjoy. It's been subject to restoration work over the last few years and so this example of the 1500 is not only a stunner on the top but the underside too.

It drives fantastically and keeping up with today's traffic won't be a problem. Benefiting from new tyres all round on wider wheels, the car handles much better than the original style. However, if originality is what you are after, the original, slimmer wheels will be included in the sale.

At the time of restoration the vehicle was painted to a high standard. No thick underseal was used in an attempt to hide issues and any corrosion has been removed and replaced with fresh metal . Protected by clear wax-oil, it is ready for winter use.

The interior is very clean and tidy with no rips or tears.

V5 present and a fair amount of history makes this little car ever more appealing. MOT'd until Jan 2024, the car is MOT and TAX exempt.
