The Citroën Light 15 or Traction Avant, as it's known in France, were produced by the French carmaker Citroën between 1934 to 1957. The range of mostly 4-door saloons and executive cars, were the world's first monocoque-bodied, front-wheel drive, mass-production car. They were produced with four and six cylinder engines and with some 760,000 units built, the Traction Avant was the first front-wheel drives made in such quantity.

This 1952 Citroen Traction has been stood for a number of years but is now up and running, requiring some recommissioning work.

It runs well and all fluids are in the correct places, it has a new 6V battery fitted and there is no frost damage.

The Citroen does start, drive and stop, but due to being stood we suggest it is given a good inspection before being driven any distance. We have driven the car down the lane and back, all gears select and the clutch feels good.

The underside is very sound, it has had some previous welding repairs but on first glance appears corrosion free. The car is along the lines of oily rag condition, it has plenty of patina and character.

The interior is in very good order and which looks like it has been retrimmed at some point. There are no rips or tears to the seats and the headlining is lovely.

In summary the car is an easy project for someone to get back on the road, which wouldn't cost a fortune to do. We have a history file which shows the car is not UK road registered, however we can point you in the right direction with this.
