1950 Singer 4A Roadster

Sold

Location : Cranleigh, Surrey

The Singer Roadster is a nine tax horsepower open 2/4-seater sports-tourer automobile manufactured by Singer from 1939 until 1955. It was launched in March 1939 as an open version of Singer's Bantam saloon and using many Bantam parts.

This Singer 4A Roadster was first registered in Oxford on the 10th July 1950 and more recently spent a number of years in Sussex.

The engine is very sweet, and there is evidence of a full engine overhaul in the history file. There is no frost damage and all fluids are in the correct places.

The drivetrain is perfect, there are no nasty noises, all gears are direct and the clutch has also been replaced in recent times. The Singer handles well and has new tyres fitted all round.

The bodywork is very nice, it has won concours prizes in the past and although there is the odd blemish around the car it really is as good as it looks in the pictures.

The interior has been retrimmed and there is an invoice for this in the paperwork. The car comes complete with full wet weather gear including side screens.

We have a large history file including the current V5.
