1948 Rover P2 Sports Tourer
Reserved
Location: Petworth
Rover 12 P2 tourer is an unusual car, post war only 200 were made between 1947 and 1948 with the first four bodies by Rover and the remaining 196 by AP Coachbuilders of Coventry.
This Rover P2 Sports Tourer was first registered on the 17th February 1948 in Bournemouth and more recently spent some time in Kent.
The engine starts and runs very well, it sounds crisp and runs like a sewing machine. It has good oil pressure and bombs along nicely.
The drivetrain is in good order and very quiet, the gears are direct and the clutch smooth. It handles well and has new tyres all round.
The body is very solid, the paintwork has mellowed and although not immaculate it present's well, very clean and tidy.
The interior is largely original and in lovely condition, the roof is in good order and comes complete with full wet weather gear including side screens.
We have a large history file including the current V5.
