1941 Bedford MW Delivery Van
Sold
Location: Petworth
The Bedford MW was a general service truck manufactured by Bedford for use by the British Armed Forces during the Second World War.
This Bedford MW has been converted to a delivery van specification after WW2 by Commercial Motors Ltd in South Wales . We’re told that it was converted and sold to Woolworths as its first true owner.
More recently it has been part of a museum collection. We have had it running and the 6 cylinder petrol engine sounds very nice and runs well.
It does manoeuvre under its own steam and all gears select. It will require some recommissioning especially to the brakes and because of this we have not attempted a road test.
The bodywork is in good order and very solid, the panel work is straight and corrosion free.
Overall she is a lovely project that only requires tinker time to bring it back to its former glory.
Please feel free to contact us for further information or to arrange a viewing - a walk around video is available that can be shared.
We are happy to consider part exchange. Nationwide delivery available.
