1938 Morris Eight Series 2
Sold
Location: Cranleigh
The Morris Eight is a small family car produced by Morris Motors from 1935 to 1948. The car, inspired by the popularity of the Ford Model Y, helped Morris regain its position as Britain's largest motor manufacturer.
Mechanically this car is very good. It starts and runs well and has an SU carb as standard. The 6V electrics comes complete with a new battery and the system charges well. Gear change is good and the drive train is nice and quiet.
The paint work is reasonable - it has been hand painted, which can only be described as an amateur finish and, while it isn't the worst we have seen, it's far from a professional finish. It is, however, very solid and there is no corrosion.
The interior is in good order, and nice and tidy.
The car comes with some history and the current V5.
