1938 Morris 8

Location: Cranleigh
The Morris Eight is a small family car produced by Morris Motors from 1935 to 1948. The car, inspired by the popularity of the Ford Model Y, helped Morris regain its position as Britain's largest motor manufacturer.
This 1938 Morris 8 has been subject to a major body off restoration making it a lovely example of the car. It runs and drives very well with an SU carburettor as standard ensuring smooth running and reliability. The running gear is nice and quiet as well as the gear change being smooth. The standard hydraulic brakes mean that the Morris 8s often have better brakes than most other cars of this era.
Thanks to the restoration work the body is very straight. There is absolutely no corrosion and the paint work, although aged, still shines up and is presentable as it is. The black and red interior is very nice indeed - re-trimmed during the restoration it is as fresh as the day it was fitted.
There is a large photographic history file supporting the restoration, with paperwork, pictures, buff log book as well as a current V5.
