1938 Austin Big 7
Sold
Location: Cranleigh
The Austin Big 7 was introduced in 1937 to fill the gap between the baby Austin 7 and the big father Austin 10.Supplied with a 4 speed manual gearbox, the 900 cc engine has a counterbalanced crankshaft, inclined valves and downdraught carburation which is ample to give a good performance. The Big 7 also came with a 'luxury' electric windscreen wiper, pressed steel wheels and a luggage carrying platform.
This Austin Big 7 has had a huge amount of money spent on it in recent years. It starts and runs very well and for a little engine it has bags of power. The drive train is very quiet and the gear change is good. The brakes have been overhauled which means they are fantastic and it has new tyres all round in addition to various other documented items.
The paintwork has been completed to a high standard, and although it is far from immaculate, it is still very nice. The interior is in lovely original condition and there are no rips or tears.
The car comes with history and paperwork including the v5.
Tax and MOT exempt as well as UKEZ compliant.
