1936 Austin 7 Ruby
Sold
Location: Cranleigh
The Ruby model was introduced towards the end of the Seven production and represented quite a refined car compared with its earlier siblings. The interior was well trimmed, the seats comfortable and it had a front opening windscreen, sliding sunroof and wind-down windows to the front and rear. Still powered by the 747cc engine, the four-speed gearbox boasted synchromesh in 2nd, 3rd and fourth gears.
This 1936 Austin 7 Ruby is an extremely original car. A genuine barn find, as you can see from the pictures, it is completely untouched.
The engine does run - it starts with very little effort, sounds good and has good oil pressure. The engine itself has no frost damage and the underside of the vehicle is in good order with no sign of corrosion to the chassis.
The body is fairly solid however there are a few areas that may require attention depending on your plans for the car. The paint work is completely original and interior well loved, as seen in the pictures. We are currently trying to source a rear seat for the car which will we would include in the sale.
We have the original buff logbook, but the registration will need to be applied for.
If you are looking for a small project then this car is for you, it is very much complete but will need to be transported. Delivery nationwide is available.
