1936 Austin 7 Ruby
Sold
Location: Cranleigh
The Austin 7 is an economy car that was produced from 1923 until 1939 in the United Kingdom by Austin. It was nicknamed the "Baby Austin" and was at that time one of the most popular cars produced for the British market.
This 1935 car is a lovely oily rag example. The car has been stood in a barn for the last 20 years with the previous owner, and likely for some time before that as well.
The engine starts and runs well, although as you can imagine it would benefit from a service and some more general recommissioning work will be required.
The body work is very solid and we would recommend keeping this car in its current "oily rag" condition. The interior is complete and could be used as it is, although you may want to patch some of the more worn parts depending on the look you are after.
The car comes with history and paperwork, including the original buff logbook.
Before any road test the car will need a thorough checking over.
