1936 Austin 10/4 Sherborne

The Austin Ten is a small car that was produced by Austin. It was launched on 19 April 1932 and was Austin's best-selling car in the 1930s and continued in production, with upgrades, until 1947.

This Austin 10/ 4 Sherborne was first registered on the 2nd December 1936 in Manchester, more recently the Austin has spent a couple of years in West Sussex.

The engine starts and runs well, it has good oil pressure and there is no frost damage. It has recenlty had new spark plugs, HT leads as well as a new exhaust.

The drivetrain is in good order, and drives like a typical Austin 10. It bombs along nicely and handles as well as 10/ 4 should.

The body condition is very much of an oily rag standard, it is very solid and the underside is clean and tidy. The paintwork has a lovely feel about it and looks great with the patina that it has.

The interior has been retrimmed at some point and while the front seats remain in good order, the rear seat has suffered a bit hence the rug in the pictures which does do the job!
