1935 Austin 10/4 Lichfield
£4,250
Location: Cranleigh
The Austin Ten is a small car that was produced by Austin. It was launched on 19 April 1932 and was Austin's best-selling car in the 1930s and continued in production, with upgrades, until 1947.
This Austin 10/4 Lichfield was first registered in March 1935 in Brighton and in more recent times spent a number of years in Essex.
The engine is very sweet, it starts and runs well and has great oil pressure. There is no frost damage and also looks to have a new radiator fitted.
The drivetrain is in good order, the clutch is smooth and the gears direct. The car handles well, the brakes are good and the front tyres are new.
The body is very sound and there is no corrosion to the underside, the paintwork is more along the lines of an oily rag car although we believe it has been painted at some point. The interior is very original, and has a great look about it.
If your looking for something to tinker with and improve this is the car for you, it has a load of new parts already fitted and bombs along very nicely, but with that in mind if your looking for a £6,000 car this probably isn't for you.
