1932 Riley 9 Gamecock

Sold

Location: Cranleigh

The Riley Nine was one of the most successful light sporting cars produced by the British motor industry in the inter war period. It was made by the Riley company of Coventry, England with a wide range of body styles between 1926 and 1938.

This Riley 9 Gamecock was first registered on 17th October 1932 in London, in more recent times it has spent a number of years in Hampshire.

The engine starts and runs very well, it has received a fairly recent overhaul as well as a new radiator core, it has great oil pressure and there is no frost damage.

The drivetrain is in good order, it drives well with no nasty noises. It is fitted with the correct gate change gearbox, the clutch is good and the brakes work well, it is also fitted with refurbished wheels with new tyres all round.

The bodywork is very solid, the paintwork is far from immaculate, it has a lot of character and more along the lines of a home paint job, however it presents well and as long as your not expecting a concours car you would be more than happy.

The interior was retrimmed to a high standard, the hood was replaced at the same time and is complete with side screens.
