1932 Austin 7 AJ Tourer

Location: Cranleigh
The Austin 7 is an economy car that was produced in the UK from 1923 until 1939. Nicknamed the "Baby Austin", at that time it was one of the most popular cars produced for the British market. Its impact in the UK was similar to that of the Model T Ford in the US, replacing most other British economy cars and cyclecars of the early 1920's.
This charming 1932 Austin 7 AJ tourer has been under the same ownership for the last 18 years.
It starts and runs very well, all fluids are in the correct places and there is no frost damage. The gear change is good and the clutch is as it should be. The car has good tyres all round with the front two being brand new. The car benefits from a Bowden brake conversion which means it has better brakes than the average Austin 7.
The refurbished paintwork has been carried out to a high standard and the finish is very good.
The interior has been retrimmed, which has been carried out well, and the rubber floor mats have been replaced. The frame for the hood has been restored and is in good working order. There is a hood to go with it, however it’s really only good for a pattern and it would benefit from a new one. New hoods are available online. The car includes a set of side screens.
The car does come with some history and paperwork, including the V5.
MOT and TAX exempt as well as ULEZ compliant.
