1931 Austin 7 RM

Sold

Location: Cranleigh

The Austin 7 is an economy car that was produced in the UK from 1923 until 1939. Nicknamed the "Baby Austin", at that time it was one of the most popular cars produced for the British market. Its impact in the UK was similar to that of the Model T Ford in the US, replacing most other British economy cars and cyclecars of the early 1920's.

This lovely little 1931 Austin 7 RM has been well looked after - it runs and drives very nicely with good oil pressure. The gear change is good and the drive train isn’t noisy.

The wheels have been refurbished and new tyres have been fitted.

The distinctive brown paintwork is of a high standard and, although not immaculate, it is very clean and tidy. Can you believe it's actually an original option? Unusually the interior has been trimmed in a rather striking cloth material, it goes well with the colour scheme and new carpets have been fitted.

The car comes complete with a large history file and the current V5 is present.
