1930 Sunbeam Lion With Swallow Sidecar
Reserved
Location: Cranleigh
The 492cc SV Lion was a development of the Model 6, named for the iconic trademark of the parent company, ICI. It was fitted with a four-speed gearbox, a pushrod clutch and interchangeable wheels, and the Druid girder forks had been replaced with Webb centre-spring forks. By 1932 a 599cc version of the Lion was added as the Model 7A and the 500 was named the Model 6A Lion.
This 1930 Sunbeam Lion has been part of a private collection for a number of years and is now presented to the market and ready for some recommissioning.
The bike is complete and the engine is free. The magneto is also present, although it's not been pictured. It is accompanied by a very nice Swallow sidecar which is in good order.
The pair will make someone a very nice easy winter project, ready for next years season.
Please note this is for recommissioning, we have not tried to start it. We can confirm the engine turns over.
Bike comes with some history/paperwork and the current V5 is present.
