1931 Morris Cowley
Sold
Location: Petworth
In 1926, the Bullnose radiator was replaced by a flat version known as the Flatnose. These cars were built by Morris until 1931. The chassis was new and the suspension was updated with semi elliptic leaf springs all round plus Smiths friction type scissor shock absorbers.
This Morris Cowley was first registered on the 23rd March 1931 in Luton before spending a number of years in the West Midlands.
This car has had a huge amount of money spent on it and is presented needing final touches and tinker time.
The engine starts and runs well, with good oil pressure. There is no frost damage, and the radiator looks to have been replaced.
The car does drive and has all gears and brakes - we have not attempted any notable road tests and would suggest as this is an unfinished project ideally just needs going through before charging off down the road.
The body is very solid and the paintwork has been finished to a good standard, the interior has been retrimmed including the unusual sunshine roof.
We have a history file including the current V5, there are some spares to help the final touches, it’s a very nice project with very little money needing to be spent.
