1927 Austin 20/4 Ranelagh

Sold

Austin Twenty is a large car introduced by Austin after the end of the First World War in April 1919, and continued in production until 1930. After the Austin 20/6 model was introduced in 1927, the first model was referred to as the Austin 20/4.

This Austin 20/4 Ranelagh was first registered in Peterborough on the 25th March 1927, and more recently it has spent a number of years in Northern Ireland.

The engine on this car is very sweet, its smooth and sounds great. There is no frost damage, all fluids are in the correct places and recently fitted with a coil conversion.

The Austin drives well, although quite a big car it will go up any hill mainly in top gear! The gears are direct and the clutch smooth, the brakes work well and goes along very nicely.

If you like oily rag cars with patina and character you will love this 20, its very solid and has a great look about it. The interior is largely original and again matches the exterior in terms of condition.

We have the current V5 and there is some MOT history.

Austin 20's don't come up often, especially ones in this condition, an unusual car for anyone's collection.
